𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
Recently, we have received reports about suspicious activity on social media platforms and from in-game scammers. Regrettably, some players may have unknowingly followed these accounts, followed their instructions, and ended up losing their accounts.
𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝟭: 𝗙𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀
We’d like to clarify that this is the only official account of Whiteout Survival on Facebook. We are not running any other accounts for the so-called purposes of “distributing rewards or sending benefits”. Below are common tricks used by these fake accounts.
1. Misleading Hashtags: Fake accounts often use long hashtags to get you to click and follow their fake accounts.
2. Name Copies: Some copy our name “Whiteout Survival” or use names like “Congratulations”, “Gift-Team”, etc. They are fake. Beware; Facebook allows identical page names.
3. Fraudulent Links: They share links that look like Facebook or YouTube, but they’re third-party links. They frequently reuse our images or logo to appear authentic.
4. Impersonation of Official Staff: They might approach you via direct message, claiming to be our customer support or developer and invite you to try a new game.
𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝟮: 𝗜𝗻-𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀
𝙏𝒉𝙚𝒔𝙚 𝙖𝒓𝙚 𝙘𝒐𝙢𝒎𝙤𝒏 𝒕𝙧𝒊𝙘𝒌𝙨 𝙗𝒚 𝒊𝙣-𝙜𝒂𝙢𝒆 𝒔𝙘𝒂𝙢𝒎𝙚𝒓𝙨:
1. Threatening you to add their private SNS (Discord, Line, WhatsApp, etc.) or you will get removed from the alliance, especially in new States.
2. Pretending to be a noob and frequently asking you about gameplay and your personal information, then guiding you to add their SNS or asking for your SNS ID (Discord, Line, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.)
3. Pretending to be warmhearted and experienced players, then asking to help take care of your account. This might end up with you being blackmailed. And the scammer may use your account to attack your own alliance members and use all of your items.
4. Sending personal messages claiming that they can provide cheaper top-up methods, which may involve using illegal credit cards or simply be a tactic to gain access to your account. Either of these tricks can result in losing your account.
NOTE: Be safe, stay alert, and don’t share your personal data with anyone! If you have encounter any suspicious activity, we urge you not to engage and to report it to our in-game support team immediately.
